SOMETHING ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Aleksandra, I was born in the marvellous Krakov (Poland), in 1980, but I live in Switzerland since I was 6. I am attending since 2004 an Art and Fashion school, the aim beeing becoming stylist, or costume designer for theater or cinema, who knows? Something along those lines anyway. Since I was a child I invested my time in creating gowns and such, and I turned my attention to dolls, entering without even realising it, the world of the OOAKs. I always loved Barbie dolls, and when the first Barbie Collectibles arrived here, I was speechless! I was 14 and the doll was the Queen of Hearts by Bob Mackie.

I did my first Barbie OOAK when I was around 11 or 12 years old; then, for some years, I did max a doll every year.

Since years now, I dedicate the biggest part of my spare (and scarce) time to my dolls. Anyway, sometimes I love to draw, to paint or pay attention to other hobbies, where I can express my creativity.

As for my dolls, I try to take care of every detail: handbags, masks, jewelry, shoes, hairs and especially repaints must be perfectly "tuned" and proportioned to the dress.
